The Mount Rushmore Project

THE MOUNT RUSHMORE PROECT - BRINGING OUR FOUNDING FATHERS BACK TO LIFE TO EDUCATE THIS GENERATION AND THE NEXT!

Construction of the monument in Pennington County, South Dakota began in 1927 and was completed in 1939. Located in what is commonly known as the Black Hills, this national park attracts nearly 2 million visitors annually. The Presidents selected to adorn the monument are universally considered to be our greatest statesmen. George Washington, our first President (two terms 1789 to 1797); Thomas Jefferson, our third President two terms (1801 to 1809); Abraham Lincoln, our sixteenth President (elected twice, but assassinated in office (from 1861 to 1865) and Theodore Roosevelt, our twenty sixth President (two terms 1901 to 1909).

These men were God Fearing men who lived principled lives both in and out of office.   The men and women of One Nation Under God want to pay tribute to these Patriots of God and Country. The Mount Rushmore Project will do this by bringing these great men to life for our children. We are having professionally designed costumes made for each of our Mount Rushmore Presidents. These costumes will be worn by volunteers who will participate in public events and interact with children. We hope to teach children and increase awareness about these great men and their contributions to our country.

One Nation Under God has already introduced one of our favorite Founding Fathers, Patrick Henry. A fearless Patriot and Bold Christian.    “Give me liberty or give me death.” … "It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains." We also want to introduce another standout Patriot and Christian, Benjamin Franklin, “And this religion will be a powerful regulator of our actions, give us peace and tranquility within our own minds, and render us benevolent, useful, and beneficial to others.”

In these times it is important that our children learn the truth about the Principles on which our Republic was Founded. Your financial contribution is very much appreciated - Donate Now

And now without further delay, here they are -

George Washington - “It is impossible to rightly govern without God and Bible”

“While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."

Thomas Jefferson - "I have always said, and will always say, that studious perusal of the sacred volume will make us better citizens."

"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”

Abraham Lincoln – “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.”

“Intelligence, patriotism, Christianity, and a firm reliance on Him, who has never yet forsaken this favored land, are still competent to adjust, in the best way, all our present difficulty.”

Theodore Roosevelt – “A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.”

A man who is good enough to shed his blood for the country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards.”

Additional Patriots that we are bringing back to teach and educate our children.

Benjamin Franklin - “The only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be laid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.”

“We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that "except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel.”

Patrick Henry - "It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains."

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here."
